TEN HOPEFUL THOUGHTS IN A TOUGH ECONOMY:

1. Americans are saving more money.
2. We are reducing debt - and using credit cards less.
3. We are giving up "blind optimism" for "strategic optimism" in our investing.
4. An enemy to reason MAY be "conventional wisdom."  There is no "one size fits all."
5. The stock market is not rational and we are better preparing for the unforeseen.
6. Use common sense now. It applies to everything you do.
7. We can't be taxed for thinking and nobody can redistribute your knowledge.
8. Faith is still free.
9. Everyone can still afford to dream.
10. It's a gift to be simple, a gift to be free.

Extra credit: The above encouragement came from a bunch of different people after a simple request for words of encouragement.  They come from the left and the right, from those who are struggling and others who are doing just fine.
